Description
From Montaione it is possible to organise excursions to San Gimignano, Volterra and San Vivaldo (known as the Tuscan Jerusalem). The beaches of the Etruscan Coast are easily reachable within an hour's drive. Also visit the historic village of San Miniato and stop for a truffle dinner. About 3 km away you will find an equestrian centre where you can organise a horseback ride. A renowned golf course is a 10-minute drive away. The region lends itself very well to mountain biking.

This place is stunning! Very pretty place and very clean. Surroundings are beautiful and about 30 minutes driving to San Gimignano and an hour drive to Florence. I would recommend bringing some food or snacks since there’s not a lot of shopping places nearby. It is the countryside so there are some critters but nothing crazy. Special thank you to Andrea for being flexible with our check in since we arrived later than expected. Lovely place and I would highly recommend!
